Noa's text was also published on The Treasure Chest - it's that good!

It was a beautiful summer’s day, I was sitting in the back of my Auntie’s car on my way to a charming villa in Israel.

Next I excitedly got out of the car and launched to see where our villa was and what kind of house we had.

The first thing we did was to plunge into the cold water of the pool. It didn’t take very long and we were freezing in the water. We were as cold as in Antarctica so we sprang out of the pool and got changed.

Then an idea popped into my head, “Wouldn’t it be nice to go to the hot tub?” I questioned dad. “Of course that would be a great idea”, my dad responded.

At the end of the day my dad and me were sitting in the blistering hot tube.

That was the best holiday of my life in Israel because I met all my family and could finally feel the heat of love cuddling around me.

Carlo writes about picking up his grandma.

Me and my family went to the airport to pick up grandma. It was Christmas time.

We parked the car and then we went inside the airport. Then we saw my grandma.

Josh spent an amazing time with his family on holiday

While I was in South Africa my family and I spent a few days in a hotel.

When we got to the hotel, I gazed into this arcade. There were shooting games, which I really liked. I was excited and I showed my mom and dad and sisters. They said that I could go tomorrow cause it was really late.

So we went to our room and we slept. The next morning my mom gave me the house key to our room.  She also handed me some money to play some video games and her phone because my family had to go shopping.

And when I got to the arcade I gazed around. It was really exciting to play the games that they had installed. Then after all my money was spent, I heard a phone call and it was my dad. He said to come and open the door and I ran to the hotel room. I looked in my pocket and the electronic key was gone! It felt like my heart stopped! I was really scared and mom and dad were angry with me.

Then we went to the people who gave us the key and they said that we forgot the other key and we were lucky I was the luckiest cause all our stuff was in our room,

Then we ate our breakfast. And then we got ready to go we packed some towels and sun screen and we went to the water park. But when we got there we forget our chairs and blankets, but we went in anyway. Then we saw some chairs and it was for anyone to relax on them so we were lucky and there was an umbrella for the sun.

When I sat down and I looked up, there it was - the biggest water park. I showed my mom and dad and they said I should go on it, but I was too scared. I went up it and I was shivering. I wondered if I would fall down and down and die. I went down the path walk and then I saw a water playground park and I went in there and I had so much fun I had so much water on me.

Then we had to go to the airport so we went to our room and packed everything up and then we went to or car. When we packed everything in then we saw the car was so full of our stuff and when we got in we were so squished like being squished by a machine that squeezes cars then we went to the airport then all the fun was done

Ellen is rocking her horse riding recount ....

Adventure In The Horse Riding Place

3 weeks ago my mum dad and I went to a beautiful horse riding place. I had received an invitation from my dad for Christmas.

I got into the car and went to the horse place. There was a girl who helped us to find helmet and boots. I got black shoes and a white helmet. Then I got my beautiful horse. My horse looked like dark chocolate, the mane and tail was like licorice. My mom’s horse looked like a peanut, its mane and tail were the same colour. Next I jumped on my horse.

But there was an angry horse who tried to bite my horse! That was scary so I steered away my horse. Then we started to ride. The horses were REALLY thirsty. So I gave my horse water in a big bucket. We came to a beautiful forest. My mom took a photo of me and my horse.

We rode on a small sunny track that went past the forest. There were pretty hills covered in lush green grass. We came to a paddock! My mom was riding gallop but it was a really weird gallop! It looked like a spider who played hockey! My mom said it was a weird gallop too. I was jumping over branches on the ground. We started to return to the stable. We jumped off our horses and gave them carrots. We took off our helmet and boots. Then we went home again.. :(

Nikolai, Deon, Shami and Ethan recount a fabulous game of water bombing

On Monday we played with water bombs and it was lots of fun. Ethan, Shami, Nikolai, Deon, Dillon and Mrs Goodall threw balloons in the shady hard tech area ......

                                                                        .........

First we threw one bomb to the closest friend. Next we have two bombs to throw. In the end we were throwing three bombs. Then we went to the ESOL classroom.
What a great game! I very much enjoyed the game.

First we threw one balloon. Next we threw two balloons and I was afraid that Shami threw the balloon at me but luckily that didn't happen. I wish I could play it in my home.

Hikari's recount about using your words

Yesterday at lunchtime I was playing tag with Devrux and Lochlan. But suddenly another friend came to me and he said, "Can I have your food now?"
I answered, "No!" So he punched me. BOOM!

Next I asked him, "Don't do that!" He said, "Okay!" We played tag together - nicely and friendly. It was fun. I was not angry anymore.
